The LPL Financial Foundation is committed to caring for our financial advisors, employees, and communities. Its mission is to advance the economic wellbeing of underserved populations through:

  1. Supporting the diverse talent pipeline for the financial services industry
  2. Building the financial capabilities of small business owners
  3. Empowering our employees and financial professionals to make a difference through volunteerism and financial support
  4. Forming charitable partnerships with organizations that align with our mission through grants to encourage equity in our industry and communities
  5. Offering paid volunteer time off, resulting in more than $1.5 million in donated time since 2016

At LPL Financial, we are committed to caring for our financial professionals, employees, and communities. The LPL Financial Foundation focuses on this commitment and helps us make a difference every day.

Since 2011, we have given nearly $13 million to causes that support our mission of advancing the economic wellbeing of underserved populations. We focus on supporting a diverse talent pipeline for the financial services industry, as well as building the financial capabilities of small business owners. We also support acts of kindness through our matching gifts program, community engagement, and paid time off for volunteering.

To date, we have donated over $3.1 million in matching gifts and provided strategic grants to more than 50 non-profit partners. We form charitable partnerships with organizations that align with our mission through grants to encourage equity in our industry and in our communities. These partnerships offer assistance to small business owners in under-resourced areas, provide free and confidential advice to entrepreneurs and small business owners, and offer HBCU student scholarships for undergraduate students seeking to enter the financial services industry.

For more than a decade, we've empowered our employees and financial professionals to make a difference in our communities through volunteerism and financial support. We recognize our people are passionate about making a difference and emphasize a culture of belonging. That's why we support what is important to them.

Our Acts of Kindness Program empowers our employee resource groups to volunteer for those causes by applying for foundation grants. We host Seasons of Service where our employees participate in company-wide volunteer campaigns virtually or in-person. Activities range from financial education seminars, to community cleanup events, to hunger relief efforts.

We offer up to 16 hours of paid volunteer time off each year, which has resulted in more than $1.5 million in donated time since 2016. We also offer a Matching Gifts Program to our employees and financial professionals.

Our people are at the heart of what we do.

In 2020, we launched the LPL Care Fund, which offers employee to employee financial support for those impacted by natural and manmade disasters. To date, we donated over $435,000 for disaster response, including $300,000 for COVID relief.
