We mix it up this week on the LPL Market Signals podcast and bring on LPL Research’s Director of Research Marc Zabicki to discuss what he has learned about investing and working with Advisors in his more than three decade career.

Learning about Marc

Marc takes us on a path of how he landed at LPL and why he is so excited about the next phase of his career. He has always been a Research guy, but working with Advisors is something he always enjoyed and he is glad to be back at it. Although his new role brings with it many challenges, he is excited to work with our nearly 30 person Research team and help our Advisors help their clients more than ever.

Investment Philosophy

Doing this for as long as Marc has, he realized there is no fool proof way to always make money. Strategies come and go, but investors must maintain a balanced approach with an eye on their horizon. The daily swings in the market can be so time consuming and aggravating, but if you don’t need that money for several decades, use any weakness as an opportunity, not a chance to panic.

The Future of LPL

Marc stressed the future is indeed bright. There are so many ways that we can help our Advisors in the future and we are looking forward to those opportunities, while continuing to maintain the great relationships we already have. Ryan noted it is exciting to see things like 18,000 Advisors, being in the Fortune 500, and cracking $1 trillion in assets, making all the hard work so worthwhile.
